Alliance Française is the worldwide French-language and Francophone-culture network founded in Paris in 1883. Each branch is an independent local non-profit operating under the Fondation des Alliances Françaises charter, which keeps the network rooted in local life: the Madrid, Sydney and Bangkok Alliances are run by their own boards and staff, with shared standards on French teaching, exam delivery and cultural programming.

Confucius Institutes are Mandarin-language and Chinese-culture centres co-hosted by a Chinese partner university and a local host institution abroad. The model has expanded since the first institute opened in 2004 and has also seen many closures since 2019; today the network is in active flux. Each branch is structured as a partnership between a specific Chinese university and a specific local university, which keeps the institute embedded in academic life in its host city.

World-renowned museums in destinations covered by visaja. Unlike the cultural-institute networks above (Goethe-Institut, British Council, Alliance Française, Confucius Institute), each museum here is a standalone institution with its own collection, building and visit experience — Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum on the National Mall in Washington, the Neues Museum on Berlin's Museumsinsel, and the Museo Nacional del Prado in central Madrid.
